3 knots of the shaytaan

Abu Hurairah (ra) reported from the Prophet (saw) the he said,

"During your sleep Shaytaan knots three knots at the back of your head of each one of you. On every knot he says and exhales the following words:'you have long night, so stay ahead in bed'. When that person wakes up and remembers Allah (swt), one knot is undone; and he performs Wudu', the second is undone; and when he prays, the third is undone, and he gets up energetic w/ a good heart in the morning; otherwise he gets up with evil manners".

Reward of acting according to Qur'an

Narrated Mu'adh al-Juhani:

The Prophet (s.a.w) said:

If anyone recites the Qur'an and acts according to its contents, on the Day of Judgment his parents will be given to wear a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world if it were among you. So what do you think of him who acts according to this?

Reward of memorizing the Qur'an

The Prophet (saw) said:

"It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an on the Day of Judgment, 'Recite and ascend (in Paradise), recite slowly (or with tajweed) as you used to do in your earthly life, for your place (or station in Paradise) will be where (you are when) the last verse of your recitation ends."

Asking Allah 3 times

Anas, radhiallahu `anhu (r.a.), reported:

Messenger sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam (s.a.w) said:

When someone asks Allaah (three times) to let him into the Jannah, the
Jannah says: ‘O Allaah, let him into his Jannah?’ And when someone asks
Allaah (three times) to shelter him from the Fire, the Fire says: ‘O Allaah,
protect him from the Fire’.”

His place shown (jannah - hell)

Narrated from the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both), Messenger of Allaah (s.a.w) said:

“When any one of you dies, he is shown his place morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise, then he is one of the people of Paradise, and if he is one of the people of Hell, then he is one of the people of Hell, and he is told, ‘This is your abode until Allaah raises you on the Day of Resurrection.”

Visiting Kabba and wiping out sins

Concerning the timing of one’s visits to the Sacred House of Allaah, it has been reported that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:
“Allaah says: if my slave in sound in body and has an ample provision, and five years pass [without him visiting My House], he is truly deprived [of mercy].”

(Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan, 960; Abu Ya’laa, 1/289; al-Bayhaqi, 5/262. The hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilat al-Saheehah, 1662).



The more often one visits the House of Allaah, the better, as the Prophet (s.a.w) said:

“Keep on following Hajj with ‘Umrah, and ‘Umrah with Hajj, for they wipe out poverty and sins…”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 810)

War and Enemy

Once when the Prophet (sall Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) was facing the enemy and waiting for the setting of the sun, he stood up and addressed the people saying:

"O People! Do NOT desire a combat with the enemy, but pray to Allah for safety. But when you are face to face with the enemy, be steadfast and remember that Paradise lies under the shadow of swords!" Then he supplicated: "O Allah! Revealer of the Book, Driver of the clouds, Vanquisher of hosts, destroy them and help us over them."

"When two MUSLIMS combat each other with the sword, the killed and the killer BOTH are doomed to Hell!" A companion asked why the one who was killed suffers the same fate as the killer and the Prophet replied: "Because one longed (intended) to murder the other."

7 types of martyrs (shaheeds)

Narrated Jabir ibn Atik:

The Apostle of Allah (s.a.w) said:

There are seven types of martyrdom in addition to being killed in Allah's cause: one who dies of plague is a martyr; one who is drowned is a martyr; one who dies of pleurisy is a martyr; one who dies of an internal complaint is a martyr; one who is burnt to death is a martyr; who one is killed by a building falling on him is a martyr; and a woman who dies while pregnant is a martyr.

Hadith no. 141

Ali ibn Taalib (ra) related that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say:
"If a man calls on his sick Muslim brother, it is as if he walks reaping the fruits of Paradise unitl he sits, and when he sits he is showered in mercy, and if this was in the morning, seventy thousand (70,000) angels send prayers upon him until the evening, and if this was in the evening, seventy thousand (70,000) angels send prayers upon him until the morning."

Hadith #389-Whoever does these certain things...

Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak:

The Prophet (s.a.w) said,

"Whoever swears by a relgion other than Islam, is as he says; and whoever commits suicide with something, will be punished with the same thing in the (Hell) Fire; and cursing a believer is like murdering him; and whoever accuses a believer of disbelief, then it is as if he had killed him."

Hadith #391-The biggest sins

Narrated 'Abdullah bin'Amr (r.a.a):

The Prophet (s.a.w) said,

"The biggest sins are: To join others in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one's parents; and to take an Al-Ghamus oath."

Sahih Al-Bukhari-Volume 8 (No.6675)

Note:

Al-Ghamus oath is the false oath taken by somebody intentionally to mislead and cheat people. Such an oath cannot be expiated, but the one who takes it will be dipped into Hell-fire. Hence the term 'Al Ghamus', meaning, 'the dipping'.

Those who will not enter Paradise
Narrated Hudhaifa:

I heard the Prophet (s.a.w) saying,

"A Qattat will not enter Paradise."

Sahih Al-Bukhari-Volume 8 (No.6056)

Note:

A Qattat is a person who conveys diagreeable, false information from one person to another with the intention of causing harm and enmity between them.

"If any ruler having the authority to rule Muslim subjects dies while he is deceiving them, Allah will forbid Paradise for him."
