Q. Is it Correct to Follow Different Imams and Their Fiqh Their Verdict is Contradictory to One Another And is at Times Also Against Islam? Please Answer with proffs from Quran and Hadeeth only.

ans. The proofs of the authenticity of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen have been mentioned and we have asked for the same kind of proofs for the existence of sects and firqas i.e., is there any commandment from Allah or His prophet (peace be upon him) that This Ummah should follow four Imams and obey all of them even there may exist differences between the teachings of these Imams which include differences of Halal and Haram if one Imam says that a particular things is Halal and the other says it is Haram who should we follow? and what is the status of the person who does not follow the other persons Imam? This is to say that if a person is not Hanafi then is he in Islam or not? If he is in Islam and surely hi is then it means that it is not necessary to follow Hanafiat.

These sectarian divides have taken us away from the deen of Allah, which states:

Follow that which has been revealed upon you from Allah and do not follow any other friends beside it. Little do you recollect! (Al-Araf: 3)

The prophet (peace be upon him) said:

I am leaving behind two things, if you follow them you will never astray. These are Allah's Book and the way of his prophet (peace be upon him).
(Mustadrak of Hakim and is Sahaeeh).

Thus, we should follow the Quran and Sunnah only and nothing else.

We respect the Imams but his respect should never be more that what is allowed by Allah.

These Imams never asked us to form sects in their names like people have done today. In fact, they said:

1. If my Fatwa is against Quran and Hadeeth then dump it.

2. Saheeh Hadeeth is my Religion.

3. Do not follow us blindly but take from where we have taken (Quran and Hadeeth).

So, we are the ones who follow these Imams while the Muqallideen are disobeying their own Imams.
