If this is the Leadership of Muslims here, and Muslims choose to follow them as they are, then that can we say except that the hour is approaching fast.
Allah Knows best but the hour seems close. As we know and feel time is going too fast both in terms of human evolution - as in development of science and technology, coming together of all idealogies that are in opposition to islam into a single identity, and taking away of knowledge.
Any 'average' Muslim already knows that Islamic idealogy is one and the rest of the idealogies (communist, capitalist, socialist, aetheist etc )have now more or less become one and are in opposition to Islam. This is the first phenomena.
The thing that really matters to us Muslims is the phenomena of taking away of knowledge from amongst us which is more dangerous than the first phenomena. The reason being that without proper knowledge we cannot even identify the first phenomena and are in danger of becoming one with it.
To mention few, taking away of knowledge as we told in many narrations is through:
Taking away of Quran. What does this mean?
Even today we have Quran preserved but yet we find people without the knowledge of Quran. We find on the market tons of tafaseer of Quran made available even in english but we know that these are devoid of 'knowledge' of Quran because they are based on opinion whereas Islam and the knowledge of Islam is based on narrations that can be traced back to Sahaba.
Taking away of scholars. What does this mean?
One which is apparent is that it means death of scholars. Who do we mean when we say scholars? Not those who may have memorized few ahadeeth or even memorized Quran. We know Islam is Sunnah and Sunnah is Islam. The torch bearers of Islam are the Ahlus-Sunnah, and the leaders of Ahlus-Sunnah and the scholars of Sunnah namely Muhaddiths, those who have the knowledge of hadeeth, rijaal and athaar. Just last year we have seen passing away of two mountains Shaikanul Islam Ibn Baz and Al-Albani Rahimahullah. This year we find out shaykh Ibn Utaymeen and shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hadi are quite sick.
The second phenomena of taking away of scholars is creation of 'gap' between the commonfolk and the remaining few scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah. This gap is created by creating 'doubts' about their integrity and sincerity. This gap is further stretched by accusing scholars of being ignorant of affairs of Muslims. As we know from a narration ' greatest wisdom is that which comes from fear of Allah'. So, who has the wisdom? The people of knowledge who fear Allah most or the one who watches CNN, NBC, CBS. ABC etc and is aware of the situation of Muslims. Who will lead the Muslims, the ones with 'wisdom' or the ones as in the example cited above who cannot distinguish between Islam and misguidance. Who will relieve Muslims of opression? We by our own hands or will it by Allah alone? Who will Allah grant his Assistance to ? To the ones who are the torch barers of Islam ( Ahlus-Sunnah led by Muhaddiths ) and who fear Him most or the ignorant ones who will misguide and take this Ummah to destruction? Verily in ignorance is misguidance. This phenomena is the ultimate driving of nail in terms of spreading of ignorance amongst the Muslims. Without the scholars to explain who will we turn to?
So, brothers and sisters fear Allah and spend time in obtaining beneficial knowledge of Islam. We spend years toiling in school and universities to gain knowledge that will only suffice us for few years. Shouldn't we toil in the same manner to obtain knowledge of Islam, something on which our Aakhirah is depended on ? Shouldn't we be meticulous in investigating the people and who to take knowledge from?
Take knowledge from the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah. How do we know who are the Ahlus-Sunnah of our time ?
-The Ahlus-Sunnah are not simply those who memorize hadeeth but rather they are Muhaddithoon in regards to complete knowledge of hadeeth – thorough knowledge of
the narrators and texts.
-The Ahlul-Sunnah are at the forefront of preserving the religion and refuting innovations of those who weak in the knowledge of Sunnah.
-The Ahlus-Sunnah are sincere and do not allow their desires to gain control of themselves because following of desires while ignoring textual admonitions leads to destruction. They know very well that whoever ignores the admonition of the Messenger of Allah (saws) invites destruction. O my brothers do not forget the example of Uhud! O my brothers do not forget that the ones destroyed at Uhud were the sahaba for a simple disobedience.
-The Ahlus-Sunnah do not make alliances with those who have gone astray and innovated because the Ahlus-Sunnah know very well that the religion is complete and crystal clear, its night is like it’s day. They know that making alliances with the innovators is equivalent to legitimizing their innovation.
-The Ahlus-Sunnah are firm in their deen and they stick to textual evidence and rely on them even in times of chaos and fitna and are patient. Finally they have true faith in Allah because they rely on Allah’s Help in obedience to His Messenger’s Sunnah.
-The Ahlus-Sunnah produce the mujaddids in every century as reported in hadeeth.
As mentioned the Ahlus-Sunnah are led by Imams whose knowledge is immense and whose dedication to the Sunnah is firm. They would be known only by their knowledge and by the agreement of people of sunnah of their time from every place. So, who are Imams? Who are the people of knowledge who agree about the greatness of their scholarship? Know my brother the Imams at the top of the Ahlul-Sunnah of our time are Ibn Baz (RA) and Imam Al-Albani (RA). The people of knowledge (to name a few) who are on the common ground are Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen, Shaikh Saleh al-Fawzaan, Shaikh Abdul Qadir Ar’naoot (Muhaddith of Sham), Shaikh Badee' Ar-Raashidee (Muhaddith of Sind), Shaikh Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Haadee al-Waadi'ee (Muhaddith of Yemen), Shaikh Muhibb Ar-Raashidee, Shaikh 'Abd-ul-Ghafaar Al-Hassan, Shaikh Muhammad 'Abdu Al-Falaah, Shaikh 'Ataa-ulaah Haneef (Muhaddith of Punjab) and Shaikh Muhammad Al-Ansaaree (Muhadith of Medeenah), Shaykh Rabee' Ibn Haadee 'Umayr al-Madkhalee (Muhaddith of Madeenah) and their students and those students of knowledge who refer to them etc.

Jumu'ah Khutbah Obersation
I prayed Salatul Jumuah in Adams Center (Herndon, VA) today at the 1:30 Jama'ah and happened to have heard a one of a kind Jumu'ah Khutbah today. It was given by the Secretary General of ISNA who happened to be in town today.
The speaker started by saying that he came to DC on President's invitation to attend a meeting in the White House about the role that religion can play in shaping the American Policies. (I felt crushed by the enormity of the occasion and the magananimity of the President). He told us that he was one of about 60 or so religious delegates. Two representatives for Muslims were invited and according to the respected Secretary General of ISNA the other "Muslim" was W. D. Mohammad who as we know is a disbeliever on account of his various statements including the ones where he has declared himself the Isa (Jesus) and also the Mehdi. Which he has refused to take back clearly.
The speaker proudly went on to describe the details of his meeting and the issues they discussed. They discussed the problem of aids in Africa and South Asia and how American Policies about this issue can be positively shaped in the light of religious input from all the delegates. (Now this is a Jumu'ah Khutbah being given). He also explicitly lumped Pakistan with the AIDS epidemic in India (although the word wrongly used offcicially even is 'south asia' - to describe the AIDS explosion in India) as if this the biggest problem muslims there have to face.
Now all this time during the Khutbah the speaker reminded us MORE than once that
-he went to White House,
-met the President of America
-and how "enlightening" was this meeting.
Among other problems (as if everything is not secondary to being on Kufr) they discussed was debt for third world countries, he claimed to have enlightened the participants of the meeting by informing them that according to Islam it is a duty of the rich countries to cancel the debt of the poor ones. He told us that he drove it from that one of the masarif of Zakah in Quran is to pay the debt of a person who cannot pay it off. He did not care to explain how could this exactly apply to kafir (islam-hating) western countries and their usurious loans to other countries.
After that he changed the topic and mentioned two facts and linked them together. First, he said that we Muslims, when a child is born, say Adhan in one ear and Iqama in the other to prepare him for his life as a potentially good and righteous Muslim.
Second, he said that Muslims were repressed everywhere and nowhere they were free to be the leaders of their countries. Nowhere was a born child guaranteed to have the opportunity of becoming the leader of his people. (as if this is the most noble goal). And nowhere in Muslim countries there is true democracy (as if this is a requirement of Shariah).
(Then the speaker got pumped up and said) But every child born in America has this opportunity. A child born today can be the leader of this country. "Infact your own child can inshallaah be the President of the United States of America". At this the people got carried away. Somebody shouted "Takbeer!" and people said Allah-o-Akber.
Then the speaker had the audacity to say that we Muslims should say Adhan in one ear of our children and the "American Constitution" in the other ear. So that they might be good Muslims and also learn the ways of this country.
Then he recited some verse from Qur'an whose meaning is something to the effect that you will be high (or in forefront) if you are 'Mo'mineen'. The speaker said that this means that if we have right faith then we will succeed. And he went on to describe faith that if we muslims do all this (learn american ways) having faith in them then we will succeed and come on top. He also recited some other Ayahs and ahadith (which I have forgotten) during the Khutbah, which seemed to be quoted out of context, to prove his points.
In the end he said that all the people (there were at least more than hundred or so) today will be able to have free copies of the ISNA magazine "Islamic Horizons" in the future. (I am surprised as the genuine organizations of Muslims are cash strapped and these people have money to
print and offer like that).
As predictable, the Khutbah ended with a passionate appeal for people to register for voting (yeah!, way to achieve greatness) in Nov elections , in the booths outside the Musallaah. This was also reminded to them after the Salah.
