I am a believer in Islam and Mohammad is the Prophet. I call on all brothers and sisters muslim or not to the first Greatest Holy Fatwa and that is on educateing the ignorant about Islam.

I call muslims and none muslims to the second greatest Holy Fatwa which is ending Poverty, Violence and Ignorance.

I call on all the brothers and sisters to do both of these Holy Fatwas Peacefully.

I believe in you and your ability to do good things, let your light shine for Aallah.

Please email if you have questions.

Assalamu-alaikum:

Are you a Muslim, or just believe that Islam is a divine religion? I've to ask you because you have always said that you are not a Muslim.

I would begin this call to Holy Fatwa with teaching you to spell "educating" rather than "educateing", and "Mohammed", rather than "Mohammad".

Next, I will instruct you that the correct grammar would be: "I am a believer in Islam and Mohammed is the Prophet. I call on all brothers and sisters, whether Muslim or not, to the first and greatest Holy Fatwa, which is educating the ignorant about Islam."

Ann Marie,

>I am a believer in Islam
>and Mohammad is the Prophet.

Inspite of your saying you are a believer in Islam, it seems your understanding of Islam and it's terminology is quite limited. To be a Muslim it is not merely sufficient to proclaim by the tongue alone that one is a believer in Islam; but one must profess it by the heart and then follow Islam in it's entirety by obeying Allah and His Prophet, Mohammad (PBUH).

> I call on all
>brothers and sisters muslim or
>not to the first Greatest
>Holy Fatwa and that is
>on educateing the ignorant about
>Islam.

Perhaps, it may help you first in understanding the meaning of the term "fatwa". Literally, the word ‘fatwa‘ means "opinion" or legal opinion with respect to jurisprudence. As such, a ‘fatwa‘ is given by a learned Muslim (a Mufti, Imam etc.) concerning some issue. On the other hand, "educating the ignorant about Islam" or in other words, inviting people to Islam (Da'wa) is among the primary obligations & duties placed upon all Muslims. Allah states in verse 16:125,

"Invite (all) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: For your Lord knows best, Who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance."

The above verse is a COMMAND from Allah to proclaim the message of Allah's religion, Islam, to all mankind.
You will note that it is not a "fatwa" as a ‘fatwa‘ is given by a human being and not by Allah who only Commands and Instructs mankind and all His creations. Therefore, please try to gain some understanding of Islam before constructing meaningless phrases such as "the first Greatest Holy Fatwa".

>I call muslims and none muslims
>to the second greatest Holy
>Fatwa which is ending Poverty,
>Violence and Ignorance.

Once again, there is no such thing as "the second greatest Holy Fatwa", though, it is desirable that one should strive to end poverty, unjustified violence and ignorance by seeking the help & guidance of Allah as in all matters. But poverty in itself is not a sin or a crime, rather a state of hardship or deprivation for which help must sought from Allah along with personal effort.

>I believe in you and your
>ability to do good things,
>let your light shine for
>Aallah.

It will be better for you to rather believe in Allah, your Lord and Creator, and obey Him and follow the example of His last Prophet, Mohammad (PBUH). Allah does not need our light to shine for Him because "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth." ----- V.24:35

Brother Tayeb

It is with my sincere belief in the Great devine religion of Islam that I issue this Fatwa.

I apologize for my spelling and for some Ignorance of words as I am still learning myself about this Great religion.

I may not be a Imam but I am a very sincere Sspiritual person with the good of Islam at heart and I feel it is at stake with world events that is why these two Fatwas must be called even if they are Dawah.

Sincerely Your Ssister In Islam

Asif -- Your point made elsewhere is well taken. This was one of my first posts, and I apologize to the author. As I've read more, I understand that some people are using English as a second language. Regardless, my original post above was sarcastic in tone, and I owe everyone an apology. Sorry.

Assalaamu alaikum ya muslimeen.

Good day to all.

To Jcecil: although your apology is mainly directed towards Anne Marie, I would like to extend my own acknowledgement of such apology. Although I did not get from your posts any such tone of offense...but mere correction of better way to put things (i.e. spelling and grammar). Anyways...your apology has been recognized...and no need to really go further on that. We all make mistakes...you, me, and others. Human failure.

In proceeding...I would like to remind Anne Marie again, as I have stated in another response in another thread on this forum...that firstly, Anne Marie...you are a well-admitted non-muslim. Unless you wish to claim otherwise, we are of understanding that you are not a muslim. That in itself makes little difference...as you well know...people of all faiths are welcome here as long as all continue to behave in proper manners.

However, you have twice here (that those two incidents are recently evident) attempted and assumed your position or responsibility to issue a fatwa to the muslims. You have no position to do so. Even if you were a muslim...you have no position to do so. I do not...br. Tayeb does not...and certainly you do not have the authority nor knowledge to issue a fatwa. That is unacceptable...and as well an insult...and something which no muslim would abide by.

You could have re-worded your message to be as something like...'some friendly advice to muslims'...or something along that lines...it would not only be something more appealing and acceptable to muslims...but it would also be something not exceeding the boundaries of Islamic jurisdiction.

Again, and again, Anne Marie...please refrain from in the future issuing your 'fatwa's'. They hold no ground for muslims...for you have no authority to do so.

You're right on one thing...Islam is surely a great and divine religion...but you should learn a bit more about it, and perhaps better by asking questions seeking truth and knowledge, better than trying to assume that you have the knowledge or authority to issue such fatwas.

Lulua.
