Salam Alikom!
As many of you have read from my recent posts, the school has forbidden me to wear hijab at my school. I am planning to write a form of petition, and inshaAllah, I would like anyone who would care to help, write a letter or anything, giving me their support on this subject. I would appreciate as many as I can get, because as a sister told me on another web board, public schools cannot forbid me to wear hijab.
So please tell me if you would care to help.

Good idea, sis. BTW...as a first step in this direction...have u contacted CAIR ?? They are specialized in this area...and devote truly so much of their time and efforts towards such work.
Sis Nzingha mentioned this to u in another post...if u need the addy, please mention and I shall do some search to get it for u. If u already have it, then by all means...please do contact them immediately!! The more that time passes in this...the easier it is for those guilty to deny what they have done and get away with it.
Anything that we can help u on, please do mention and surely we will do our best, inshaAllah.

How do I write to CAIR...I have been to the site...but I cannot figure it out

OK, sis...I think that sis Nzingha already mentioned their address.
But basically, did a google search, and took me to their site. At the bottom of their main page, there is info on their street and mailing addresses, as well as telephone and fax numbers.
Their main addy is: www.cair-net.org
Also on their main page, to the right side of the page, near the bottom, is a link u can click...it is in red...to report incidents. If you choose this, you will find that they give complete procedure as to how and what to report and to whom.

No, I havent done anything yet, dr. IHAB... I figured if I did something now, they would call my father, and this would bring me more trouble. I will wait until I am 17. By Georgia state law, I can move out when I am 17, and then I can proceed with this. Thank you for checking up on it though :):)
