True story (not funny either) but good to read...

A man came to Abu Hanifa (a well known islamic scholar) and said to him: I have burried my money somewhere and I do'nt remember where. Can you help me?

Abu Hanifa said to him: This is not the job of a scholar.

Then he thought for a moment and said: "Go and pray till morning you will remember inshaAllah"

The man did and he prayed... while in prayer, he remembered where he put the money, went and got it, and then returned to Abu Hanifa later and thanked him and asked: "How did you know that I was going to remember when I pray?"

Abu Hanifa replied: I knew that Shaytaan will not leave you alone and will try to let you remember everything related to this world so that you will leave your prayer.

SubhanaAllah!

Assalaamu alaikum.

Ahh....so wise was Abu Hanifa...and so true his words!!

Haven't any of you ever realized...that while in prayer...you suddenly get 'inspiration' for this or that idea?? Or you are reminded of what you could earlier not remember??

Aoudhubillahi minash-shaytaan!!!

Surely, satan is the greatest of all thieves. And, as fitting for any thief, he does not bother with other than the homes (i.e. persons) who have something to steal. And one of the greatest of his thefts is that he takes away from our prayer...by distracting us in this or that manner...until he has taken away from it. That is why it is so important to seek Allah's protection at the onset of the prayer, and to concentrate on what we are doing and saying...and as well to make sure that we pray the nafal prayers, so as to hopefully make up for anything which was lost due to satan.

May Allah help us all.
