Dear Morpheus:

Israel has been persuing nuclear research without any inspections. And the interesting thing is that Israeli poliiticians have in the recent past threatened to use these weapons. There's the case of Mordechai Vanunu http://www.nonviolence.org/vanunu/ a whistle blower of Israel's nuclear program.

Israel not only has the nuclear capability but also has tested nuclear weapons in the past. Their infamous collaboration with the former Apartheid regime in South Africa yielded the tests of several nuclear weapons. They also have the delivery capability, with advanced missile systems.

The nuclear programmes of Israel and its nuclear capability will be on the agenda of the 47th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This issue, called "Israel's nuclear capability and its threat," will be discussed at one of the plenary sessions of this highest IAEA forum.

I do know that the BBC showed a pretty interesting documentary on Israel's nuclear (weapons) programme sometime back, resulting in the severing of ties between the channel and the broadcasting corporation. I do remember seeing it (though i don't think i saw the whole thing)....but to the best of my knowledge, they did talk about some Israeli scientist who leaked to the world that Israel had a nuclear weapons programme, resulting in his imprisonment (up to this day) by the Israeli state authorities.

I don't know if BBC documenatries are available on their website. If so, try locating the documentary and watch it....it's pretty interesting, and yes, it will answer your question of proving the existence of an Israeli nuclear weapons programme (and hence an arsenal....strange...it is common knowledge in much of the world that Israel has a nuclear programme/weapons...and both friends and foes of Israel acknowledge this fact....funny you didn't know about it)

I wonder where you get much of your information about the Middle East from, because it seems saturated with more fallacies than accuracies.

Now, a more appropriate way of putting the above statement would've been : "Why is a country (colonialist country) that snatched the land of the natives of the region still allowed to exist......did the international community ever ask the natives of the land if they wanted to give their homes to the colonialists?"

Once this question can be answered correctly, we could then proceed to judging whether or not it is right for Israel to have a nuclear arsenal.

Israel is Jewish land as Promised to God in genesis..sry but historical, biblical and secular evidence proves you wrong. Israel is jewish land..but since they disbelieve in the Messiah it is now Christian land but we cant get a hold of it for political reasons.

it is exactly what you are saying.... well God said the land will be for Israel so get out! Sorry... they left it long time ago... they were punished by being lost and leaving the land... the land was ours for ages... now you come and say hey it says this is ours... take it by force... kick us out... kills us... put is in camps..... and then cry to the USA and say " they wanted to kill us " :(
