The Thai prime-minister said that they died because they were weakened by fast.

It shows the ignorance that prevails. How can fast contribute to suffocation? They were suffocated they didn't die of illness or hunger!

The tragedy is that BBC, CNN, SkyNews and others repeated the prime-minister's words without any comment!

Muslims in Thailand are poor and unprotected. They are known as Patani Malays, as they are ethically Malays and their land was conquered by Thais in 1786 and integrated into Kingdom of Siam.

it proves that their false and venomous propaganda against islam has no bounds!
in reality it was the state of fasting of those Thia brethern of ours that led them face head on with those kuffar, proving they were on thier hight of eemaan and vigour, mashaAllah. as bro mujadid's posts remind us clearly how important/victorious the month of Ramadan is for muslims!

Let's wake-up as Muslims and at least defend our brethren with words if we cannot do anything else!

ok......may be the month of ramadan is only important for some. while others are stil relying on the week state of eemaan , where you only think of evil bad in your heart. and not showing it by words or hands! why dont we speak up? who are we afraid of? certainly it is not Allah. how sad! ! is it not what we proclaim in shahadah.... that there is no ilah but Allah, so why dont we prove it by our words and actions?

may Allah give us all the strong eemaan . and not let us settle for a week one. we want the best in everything else in life so why not for eemaan as well?
may Allah guide us all to the truth and give victory to the muslims, make islam prevail lands Ameen.

My maternal grandfather was a Patani Malay and I have relatives there with a cousin who is rather a firebrand. I am still trying to trace him. Pray InsyaAllah they are OK.
