Please does anyone know why they are bulldozen the homes in the Gaza where the Isrealis pulled out? I am very confused about this,and asked my husband if the Palistinians could live in those homes,and he said of course they could.So why tear them down?

The same thought occured to me. Those are beautiful houses. If they are left behind as they are, who among the Palestinians should get them? Are there enough for everybody? This could lead to other problems. On the other hand, could you imagine the Jewish settlers giving their houses to the Palestinians? They have been killing and humilating the Palestinians for years. Seeing the Palestinians sitting comfortably in their former homes would be too much to bear.

Another thing, is it in the Jewish character to give?

it is to save the feelings of the Jewish people leaving them, I can kind of understand this, it must be like being burgled. (I do not agree with it though, there is no justice on stolen land)
But then again, was any thought spared for the Palestinians that were ethnically cleansed? Was there media coverage of them being evicted/driven out?

Yes i know what you both mean.What a terrible waste to tear down homes that the Palistinians could live in.I go to garage sales and recently bought a beautiful desk for my husband,i kid you not it cost 5.00$.I brought it home,cleaned it up, and gave it to him as a gift..........I feel that if one man cannot use something another man can.After all we must not treasure things on Earth,but when we go to Heaven this is our reward and our treasure......getting there,as best without sin..........regards my friends

Johara-you bought a perfectly good article from someone willing to sell it. And that article was not something that was originally stolen from you or your husband in the first place. In other words, it was a perfectly legitimate exchange.

Whereas, as concerns the now evacuated Israeli settlements, they are on land usurped and stolen right from under the feet of the Palestinians. Ppl were literally driven from their homes, their homes destroyed to make way for the new Israeli settlements, and those very Palestinians dispersed into ghetto-like and concentration-camp style refugee camps. And even those camps were bombed and destroyed thru the years.

As has been mentioned, those homes left by the Isarelis are terribly few in regards to the Palestinian population.

And as has been my understanding after watching news clips and reading news bits in the papers and online...it is the Israelis themselves destroying those homes before the Palestinians have the chance to take over and occupy. Apparently under the pretense of trying to force the Israeli settlers out (those who are reluctant and slow at leaving).

cos when we see them bulldozing we might think the settlers and israeli authorities are having the upper hand by not letting palastinians have those houses, but it infact is a punishment from Allah for those settlers , this is how,
see how much they were crying when they had to leave thier houses on the occupied lands of palastinians,and were literally dragged out. now imagine for a minute seeing the destruction of your houses that you love and have grown attached to !!
would it not be a painful thing to watch? it most certainly would!

Welcome back after a long time. You are right revenge isn't a solution. But the problem here is that the occupation hasn't ended. In fact the Israelis are expanding their settlements (or colonies) in West Bank, and making them more permanent by the wall of Apartheid, known as wall of separation.

There's here a similiraty to past colonisation carried out by the white settlers in North America and elsewhere. They came in permanently and decided that was their land given by God. They threw out or purely assassinated the local natives.

If the Israelis could they would do the same, they would throw a biological weapon within the native population and eliminate them. They can't, so they just destroy their properties, assassinate their leaders and the natives to refugee camps. Palestinians are at this moment living in refugee camps within the vacated Gaza.

So much depth moves through me Tayeb from what you wrote. I thank you on many levels.

One can ever underestimate the traumatic experience that another human being goes through in oppressive suffering.

The second sentence is a key to that ‘Cane & Able’ understanding….
