Earthquake

Assalamoalykum all

pakistan,afghanistan,india have been under the earthquake this
morning at about 8.50 am of pakistan time.

the strength is 7.5 on rector scale.

islam abad had two big towers collapsed called margala towers .
and a village near nathya gali is under it too, so is
mansehra ,atttak, muzafar abad ,dudyal etc.
i saw the news on jeo tv.

may Allah has his mercy on us all and give sabr to the people
affected by it, and give the palce in jannah to all those who died,
about 1000 so far.
and most of all make us all take the heed of how preceious our time
is in this world, and we dont even know when it will be our turn,
those people went to sleep without knwoing what awaits them in the
morning.Astaghfirullah.
these are warning signs from Allah indeed.

Do the people of the towns feel secure against the coming of Our wrath by night while they are asleep? Or else, do they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they play about (carefree)? Do they then feel secure against the plan of Allah But no-one can, (unwisely), feel secure from the plan of Allah, except those (doomed) to ruin! (Surat al-A'raf: 97-99)





Allah surely creates all these disasters as "warnings" to mankind. He is exalted in power and He has power over all things. Allah testifies to this in the verse:



Say: "He has power to send calamities on you, from above and below." (Surat al-An'am 6:65)

The Prophet (SAW) said, “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allaah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the hereafter… Allah is helping the servant as long as the servant is helping his brother." (Muslim).

It seems a great tragedy has befallen on thousands of people, mainly Muslim. A great relief effort is being made, with a number of Muslim charities and not only making appeals for donations.

May Allah bring relief to these tragedy stricken people and ease their pain.

It's heart breaking to see what has happened.

- Make Du'a (personal prayer) for our brothers and sisters in Kashmir and Pakistan, that Allah (blessed and exalted is He) would ease their burden.

- Raise funds locally in your community and in your Masjid.

*$10 will provide an Iftar meal for an entire family.

*$20 provides blankets for a family.

*$100 feeds an entire family for a month.

- Invite a speaker from a local representative of an Islamic charity if avaialble or other bonna fidae charity in absence of an Islamic one for the purpose of fund-raising.

- Donate supplies. You pack it; the charity ship it!

Organize your community to fill a container with food or blankets, diapers, non-prescription medical supplies, hygiene products, and tents. Fill a 20- or 40-foot trucking container (trailer) with food or other products. (Due to international restrictions, it is very important that food only is sent in its own separate container.) When a container is fully loaded, contact local Islamic charity or other bonna fidae charity to secure it and ship it to Pakistan or Kashmir.
