The Croydon club of Sacred Archers met again last Sunday at the Streatham & Croydon Rugby Club Grounds off Frant Road in Thornton Heath, and the first double session of basic training in the sunnah techniques of archery and health & safety issues for the first group, has now been completed successfully.
The Croydon clubs' secretary and treasurer, will be travelling to Hungary from Dec 3-5 in order to visit the workshops of Kassai Lajos.
Kassai is a highly skilled horseback archer, following in the traditions of the Hungarian-Magyar techniques, which are quite different from sunnah practices of archery, but none the less, very effective in their use of the horn composite bow on horseback. He also manufactures reproduction hybrid bows including one based on the Turkish war bow. These are available through various dealers worldwide, but by going directly to Hungary we hope to secure the best possible price for purchasing bows and other archery equipment. You can visit the following links for more information about Kassai's bows. http://www.horsebows.com/ (US website showing range of Kassai bows and equipment)

Anyone interested in purchasing a reproduction or authentic horn composite bow, quivers, arrows, bow cases, saddles, etc, should contact Jehad or Muhammad directly to discuss their requirements.
