Welcome to this group, sis Leena. And...even tho you were born into a muslim family...still I want to welcome u back to Islam. Because I feel that being a muslim is not necessarily being born to other muslims, but rather the rebirth of the individual daily as a muslim.
There are many good posts here on the forums to help give u guidance and ideas. As well as there are also many good muslims here who are ready and willing to help you as you may need it.
Please do feel free to ask for advice on whatever u may need, we will help u as best as we can, or direct u to others who can help you when we ourselves cannot.
I would suggest that you begin your trip back into Islam by prayer. This is a very most important aspect of a muslim's life, and it is the defining thing between a believer and non-believer.
Do you know how to pray? If not, we will happily help show you the way.
Om Mohammed.

Assalaamu alaikum.
Alhamdulillah, that u know how to pray, and are keen to keep to the right times by implementing the adhaan option on ur computer.
BTW, i'm a sister...the name: 'om mohammed' ... the prefix 'om' means 'mother of...'
In other words, my name translates: 'mother of mohammed' (i.e. my eldest sons' name is mohammed).
;)
Anyways, i don't think it is too early to start to teach ur daughter to recite Quran. Just be careful it is done in a hignly patient and loving way. This is a very tender age, and quite important to put into their hearts the love of Islam and it's teachings, and not make them afraid or discouraged from early age.
So, make sure that whoever is teaching her does not frighten her away from learning. This is important.
As for the 'zer' and 'zabar'...i'm sorry, i don't know what u mean. Please clarify.
Om Mohammed
i apologise for the mistake sister....i am looking for free downloads that can help me teach my daughter the fatha damma and... as she has the intial alphbet and can here the audio...i feel it will help her understand if she could hear it recited correctly

Assalaamu alaikum.
No probls about the name, sis. Happens quite frequently, actually.
anyways, there are some good sites which have free quran audio, and some of them even come equipped with video as well. I mean, they show up the words or the verses as they are recited. Will try to locate some of those urls for u, inshaAllah.
check out this link: bhttp://english.islamway.com/sindex.php?section=erecitorslisteing
there is a long list of recitors there, u just choose which one u want to listen to. But no video, no print of the verses as it is recited. Still looking for that site for u. will post once i find it.

Assalamu alaikum
Please check out this website - http://www.reciter.org/
It is a fantastic quran tool, showing the verse in arabic onscreen, with a choice of Qari (reciter) and other options, such as speed up/slow down, repeat whole surah, repeat each ayah etc
This requires no downloading and the recitation is excellent, with Qari such as Al Hudaifi etc.
assalam-u-alaikum sister leena,
nice to see that you are trying to fight the western lifestyle that is kind of forced upon those of us that live in its midst. we need more muslims to have the same desire as people like yourself..... may Allah (swt) help you in your efforts. by the way, you have a beautiful name. my 2 year old daughter is also called leena :).
assalam-u-alaikum
