It certainly appears that UK citizens of all religions are putting
small wagers on this and other oil stocks (not me, I've learn't
that an oil companies often consist of a hole in the ground with a
crook at the bottom).

Are you "tipping" the above stocks (eg saying their share prices
are set to go higher than average)?

ps - I should mention that PET is Irish and has no troops in Iraq or Afghanistan
(as far as I know)
